Strong women have such an impact on our lives that we can’t help but be moved by them. You may have been raised by a strong woman or had a strong female role model in your life who helped shape you into the person you are today. It seems the idea of strong women comes with the stigma of losing our femininity.

Being strong and being a woman does not negate being feminine.

“A strong woman understands that the gifts such as logic, decisiveness, and strength are just as feminine as intuition and emotional connection. She values and uses all of her gifts.” — Nancy Rathburn

Strong women don’t care about how they are perceived in the world.

Being strong means shedding every label we are ever bestowed, the labels others give us, and those we put on ourselves.

The negative ones for sure, such as bitchy and moody, but also the so-called positive ones — selfless and amenable.

Labels keep us locked in cages, contained, and used all too often as weapons.

“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.” — Unknown
