I know some people who did this as well and it is heartbreaking. I also know I will be pushed to be this person, too. My mother was abusive and my brother has already made noise about how I should help him when she gets to the point of needing care.

And I won't be a part of that. I will help with paperwork, and anything that needs doing estate wise. As long as it isn't hands on, I don't mind helping him. But I won't have anything to do with her. I can't. It isn't conducive to my mental health.
