We used to get it a lot with my husband and his kids. He's over half Native American, but is blonde haired and blue eyed. So is his mom. So are her parents. Go back one more generation and his ggrandfather is as dark as you can get, often referred to as being Black though he wasn't. Yet, every person in his line that connects to my husband married more Native American people, and none of them look it at all.

His son is part NA, white, and Black. His mother is half Black and is white presenting as well. The little boy is blonde and blue just like his dad.

People have made some pretty ignorant comments in my presence when I've had the child with me, presuming he's white so it must be okay. I am one to show my ass about it, ignorance is one of my biggest pet peeves.
