I’m very sorry to hear all of that. Not necessarily that you wouldn’t post it on social media, because I totally get that, regardless of gender, the judgment clearly is there. But the rest for sure. Especially when we have a partner, we should be able to rely on them for emotional support and otherwise. I don’t subscribe to the belief that our partners must be everything for us, I think that’s ridiculous to put on one person, however, there’s something to be said for feeling safe and secure in our person (if indeed that is only one for you) that you can be emotional with them, count on them to care for you if you were to fall ill, or at the very least, be there to help provide care for you via other means.
