Jim—I love every single bit of this. You and your partner talked about things in a similar manner to how Damian and I have done with ours and how I’ve done in the past with my older kids.
It has always bothered me when people keep everything so hush hush around kids. Not just sex. Money, work, life. Of course there are things that they shouldn’t worry about. But the fact is, they are human beings too and they are capable of sussing out when you’re worried, anxious, and concerned. Telling them it’s “adult stuff” doesn’t help.
