Laura--This is TERRIFYING. But sadly, I'm not surprised!

Not that it's similar, but the situation with Roe being overturned just truly goes to show how unimportant a woman's body is. I was reading a heartbreaking newsletter entry from Jessica Valenti yesterday about a woman (I believe in AZ) whose doctor recommended an abortion just before this decision due to what was determined to be a fatal (for the fetus) pregnancy. Then the Dobbs decision was handed down and she was forced to carry to term. Her daughter lived 44 days, in pain unnecessarily. This woman and her daughter went through hell for no reason other than lawmakers decided it should be that way.

Between idiots like that and doctors, we don't stand a chance.
