Definitely have to agree with Misty. He more than likely meant every word he said to you. I'm sure you represent safety, security, and I'm sure he does love you. However, he is the absolute last thing you need.

He however needs to learn to work on himself truly on his own and figure out his life without involving others. Then he might be ready to have a relationship.
