Ozempic Helped Me And I Can’t Wait To Take It Again
I’m not ashamed of how I feel and you shouldn’t be either.
As a type 2 diabetic, I qualify through insurance to take Ozempic to regulate my blood sugar. When the Ozempic craze first began, I was hesitant to even ask my then doctor about having it prescribed to me. What if he thought I only wanted it due to being obese? I already had issues with him, because of my weight, and I just didn’t want it to be a thing.
I finally sat down with him and asked if it would be possible to be prescribed the medication due to my A1C being so high. He said yes, and that more than likely, my insurance would cover it. Considering the cost prohibitive nature of the drug otherwise, I was happy to hear that. I did my research, and though it sounded like there could be some pretty nasty gastric side effects, I was willing to give it a shot.
Pun intended.
I also hate needles, but since my diabetes clearly wasn’t getting any better and I might be headed towards daily insulin injections, I figured a once-a-week injection was definitely a better option. Metformin wasn’t moving my numbers at all. Diet and exercise only helped so much. I’ve struggled with weight my entire life, even with eating properly.
