Suggesting they should attend therapy is a far cry from saying they should pretend anything. In fact, I’m pretty sure that would indicate they need to get even more in touch with their true feelings. Also, just for clarity, not all of his kids are “grown”.
My main point is that no one should have been pretending anything for anyone’s sake. I think you may have missed that. But I appreciate your input.
