I've been on both sides of the equation and I've seen bad actors on both sides, for sure. There are definitely those who are "unicorn hunters", and act like jackasses. They give a lot of truly lovely couples bad names in the lifestyle. And there are "unicorns" who believe because they are what "everyone" wants, they can behave as if they're the be all end all.

It would be nice if everyone would just behave like adults.
