Thank you so much, M, for your kind words, and for taking the time to read this. I know it was long, but I always find it difficult to stop talking about him once I get started. He really did live a fairly full life, even though it was cut short.

And you're right, suicide does hit harder tbh. Although I think I kind of always knew that's how his life would end, it was still so sudden. I never really had a mom, she was always distant and cold, but I really lost what little I had of her that day as well.
