Totally off topic-ish, aren't the hotel rooms tiny?! That was something that threw me in NYC, but I guess in retrospect, it makes sense. There's so much to see and do in the city, and so little land for them to build on (gotta build UP) they figure you won't be spending a lot of time in your room.

The first time I went to NYC I was 17 and went with a group from high school. We stayed at a HoJo, and I swear I remember the rooms being "normal" sized. The next time I went and actually stayed in the city, it was a boutique type hotel (which could be the difference) and the room was the smallest I've ever been in! Really nice, but small.
