Well at least I got close to his age haha. I'm 45, so I was right about being older than you lol.
Ahhh okay well I hope they get things figured out for you soon. Vitamin deficiency is a real struggle and can cause all sorts of issues. My vitamin d is always whacked out (low), sometimes my potassium is low, as well as my magnesium, so I have to be careful to keep an eye on those. And now I'm on Ozempic for my diabetes, so I have a hard time eating. I am NEVER hungry, so I literally have to put a reminder in my calendar to eat. Or I'll legit sit here and it will be like 4 in the afternoon and I'm shaking wondering why. Oh, dumbass, you haven't consumed anything beyond water and coffee. Doh! It's so hard to eat for me when I'm not hungry, thanks Mom! I was brought up constantly on some kind of diet because my Mom thought I was fat (even when I wasn't), so she drilled it into my head, if you aren't hungry, don't eat. All these years later, I still hear that voice in my head.
So I'm having to learn to ignore it and power through. I need to lose weight but not by starving myself. But the Ozempic is doing a great job lowering my A1C and my blood sugar has never been better, so I do not want to stop taking it. And I have lost some weight. Not the level the people I hear about on TikTok losing, I think so far, I've lost maybe 12 lbs? I've been on it (Wegovy for a month first) for 2 weeks, so 6 weeks total. 2 lbs a week is a reasonable amount to lose.
